Found for the Season

There's something real endearing and safe to always have this girl by my side. In this picture she is waiting with me at the oral surgeon's to discuss my upcoming implant surgery. This wasn't the new adventure I was seeking but oh well--necessary.
What a crazy day yesterday turned out to be with multiple cab rides scheduled to two different offices, hair appointment, and the consult w/the surgeon. At the end of the day I received a phone call from J at the agency telling me they had just discovered my camera lost over a year ago! She discovered it in the lost and found and then went to the effort to get new batteries so she could turn it on and see the pictures to recognize the owner! Happy, crazy day. How is your day?

Days are like that but glad you got your camera back!! I bought a new one for Dad for Christmas so hope he doesn't lose this one. The new vinyl in the kitchen started to bubble so had to be resealed - guess there was water leaking which got fixed too. Honestly there are days like that for sure. When will you tooth surgery be???

Wow, that is so cool that they figured out whose camera it was! Nothing like getting something back you thought was gone forever.

My day has been good since I found Millie was on the phase report this week! Ah, the little things in life.

Hey Becky, I just wanted to let you know that I have gone through tooth implant surgery, and it wasn't any worse than getting wisdom teeth out (which I did at the same time).

Hopefully everything goes well for you with yours!

Brittany - thanks so much! That is so good to hear. The description of it just doesn't sound fun. Glad to hear yours went well.
Sarah - that is super exciting! Keep us posted about Millie and everything :D

Accentuate the positive. . . .
Isn't it wonderful to be able to replace teeth and ensure good nutrition throughout our days on Earth.
I went to the dentist yesterday too! TThe dentist I worked for for the last 18 years of my dental hygiene career retired in September.
We have good check ups!
The day of your implant I will have a cleaning.
Go in peace sweet girls.

My day was all right, but not all right. Guide Dogs gave me a call about a complaint they received about how I treat Troy. Well, this complaint is the third complaint this year, and I had to talk to my Guide Dogs instructor this afternoon to sort them out, because I felt that I was treated unfairly. The insturctor finally understood where I was coming from after how many months? Lol! And she's going to talk to the manager on Monday to explain my situation and that people had been mis-reading what was going on. I found that most complaints, except for two complaints from last year, were dealt with incorrectly. Now I'm happy that it's all sorted out and I'm partying now! Troy is happy too.

I swear that Troy would be the type of dog for people with anxiety or stress disorders. I don't have them, but I do get very very stressed and anxious sometimes! Troy knows I'm getting stressed out or worried because he comes over to me, or if I call him over, his demeanor changes from his happy self to a very calm, attentive alert sort of way. He knows the difference between me patting or hugging him for pure enjoyment and relaxation, and when it's because I'm trying to destress. Sometimes he'll stand up and pace around or come over to alert me to oncoming stress, so he interupts it before it happens, or if I'm already stressed by the time he alerts me, he stops it from getting worse. His ability to sense when I'm stressed or anxious is 95% accurate! And, he's not even trained to do this. Does your guide dog have this ability? If not, what other uncanny abilities does she have?
