Support at Home

I had a little presentation tonight. It felt strange to go it alone without a guide dog! Nice to have a sweet retired guide cheering me on when I got home! Thank you Steve, Andrea, and Dave for your support! Fun to have family there!  I have been wearing a lot of orange clothes -- maybe its Cricket's new retired guide collar that is orange that has me wanting to match her :).

What a sweet picture! I've loved following your retirement journey with Cricket, although it has been heartbreaking as well - I shed quite a few tears over several of your posts, especially when you described walking through the airport for the last time. It has been really helpful for me to see how the process goes so I can prepare myself for the eventual retirement with my guide dog (hopefully a long ways off yet). I must say though, Cricket does look like she is glowing and happy, and that's the most important part! I will be very interested to hear about your new guide dog and how Cricket feels about the new arrangement. Good luck and thank you for continuing to share your journey.
