Freedom

Exciting news.  They took off my cast today, new x-rays showed it was healing better than the doctor expected.  I'm back to a brace.  He said the brace is mainly if I fall (ha, I do that on frequent ocassions).  So, I figured that there wasn't falling going on when walking with Cricket.  We went for a walk today.  I felt like I had my eyes back.  I was able to hold the harness regularly and we could walk back at our normal pace.  (For the past five weeks, its been a more tentative walk and just the bare minimum to get from point a to point b).   I'm cleared to go on the yoga retreat this weekend.  Yes!

This sweater had my colleagues chatting - oh, they are so much fun!  They liked the zipper in the back.  I do too.  Cricket and I aren't so comfortable turning to our backside for pics :).

I had one of the most embarrassing blind experiences thus far yesterday.  I can't quit giggling about it and not sure if I can post about it and totally put it out there, yet.

Yay, no more cast!
It must feel so good to be able to walk with Cricket the way you are used to again. I love that feeling.
And, come on. Let us know about "embarrassing blind moment." We've all had 'em-okay, us blind folk have any way. LOL If it makes you feel better I accidentally ran into a woman in the swimming change room yesterday while dressed in a towel and she probably in not much more. The cool thing was, she had a friend who was blind and just thought it was funny. Life really surprises you sometimes doesn't it? :)

Congrats on the cast removal! 5 weeks seems like a really short amount of time to be in a cast to me, but I'm sure it doesn't feel that way for you. :)

Cute sweater! There's an Ann Taylor Outlet near Kim's place in Oregon, but I never seem to find the cute things you have there. You always look great!
