Blind Side

A feel good true sports movie led Steve, Kendall, Cricket & I to the movie: Blind Side. I enjoy a movie with good dialogue so I can follow the story line w/out seeing the screen. This one had that! I also love being inspired and leaving wanting to do a little better and being uplifted by the good that is in the world. (We hear too much of the negative.) This one did it. I loved the tenacity of the mom (played by Sandra Bullock). I will now be a fan of Michael Orr and the Baltimore Ravens (I think). I am a sports fan totally on emotion and feel good stories - what can I say. Enjoy. Happy Weekend - we are off to find some sunshine.

Awesome, I'm glad you wrote this. I thought it sounded like a good movie, and now that you've said it can be followed, I'm really interested.

I am the same kind of sports fan. I fell in love with baseball last year, because I fell in love with the come from nothing story of the Tampa Bay Rays. They became my team, because there was that emotional draw. If there's no emotional draw, I just don't care ;)

This was such a great movie. It really is inspiring. I left feeling the same way. I really thought Sandra Bullock did an excellent job portraying her character. If you haven't seen this movie, it is a must see.

anyone I have talked to who has seen that movie has loved it. I really want to see it. We would have to drive an hour to go to the theatre---so that will take some planning. I miss just being able to drive up the road to Jordan Landing.
ah country life.

Ro; Agree! Yes, I learned a few things after the movie that I hadn't followed - its hard! Have you had a chance to listen to a descriptive movie yet? I like them and one of our movie theaters here has them - you put on headsets.
Addie: Agree! Loved Sandra Bullock and her character.
Wendy: An hour to the nearest movie theater! You are in the country, indeed. Maybe you can see while you are here in Utah?

I haven't seen a descriptive movie yet. I found the one theatre in town that has it, so maybe we can catch blind Side there.

I heard an interview with the kid yesterday and he said he didn't really like the way he was portrayed. He said in the movie it looked like he didn't know about football and he was like, I was playing since I was eight! Haha, it was interesting to hear him and made me want to see the movie even more. How very strange for a movie to be made about you when you first start your career, ya know? I wonder how that will affect him. Movies usually come out long after the person is in their prime.

Ro - that is very interesting. Yes, I didn't get the impression that he had been playing since he was 8 from the movie.
