Honest Scrap Award

Back on the computer and not sure all the rules of this Award that Ellie posted for us. I'm going to take it as telling you how I honestly feel about some things ...

1. I don't like to work in 100 degree weather. Becky LOVES the heat and is great to go for a walk mid-day in the heat ... one day I refused. I think she got the message, and we stayed in the office until it cooled down.
2. I think I have the best job ever ... I get to go everywhere, there is plenty of time to sleep and play, and see people all day.
3. I love my nyla ring. Its kind of like the best of two toys - a tug and a nylabone in one! Last week, Kendall bought me a new one and I danced literally up and down I was so excited.
4. I love getting praise and when I can feel the excitement in Becky's voice with a 'good girl' life doesn't get much better! (except when she slips me an extra kibble - or a high reward treat for something amazing I've done)
5. I have a cute happy dance I do when someone comes to the door, and I am allowed to perform. My preference is to be able to go out in the front yard to have more space to run around in circles ... usually making my circles bigger and bigger until everyone is watching. This past week I tried to pull it off in the tiny living room and it was a little tight and probably not that appropriate as I think about it.

I honestly would love to hear from YOU!

Its good to visit with just you. We talked to Becky and she is having a good time with family and all but I am sure you are NOT out of a job so enjoy your rest. What a gem you are and much loved. Oh don't let it go to your head and sniff and dance more.

Love Grandma??

Dear Cricket,

Hmmm...we are a lot alike. Here is my top 10 confessions...

1. I get excited to go ANYWHERE and I am very vocal about it. Mom always tells me I make noise like a banshee and asks why I am excited when I don't even know where I am going.

2. I love my mom. I don't like it when she pets other dogs or runs other dogs in agility. At all.

3. I love agility...it is bonding time with mom and I get cookies when I am done. What more could a lab want?

4. I love to swim.

5. I love to chase my ball. My red kong ball that I have had since puppyhood is my absolute favorite...mom's too, cuz she says it goes a really long way!

6. I do lab laps around the coffee table with my kong in my mouth when my mom comes home so she knows how happy I am to see her.

7. Sometimes, I am so tired I have to go to bed in different beds in the house...sometimes in all three beds in one day. This requires unmaking the beds and flinging the pillows off, so I can nest just the way I like to.

8. I love my therapy work. All the people tell me how cute I am, what a good dog I am and how I do good work.

9. I love going to mom's softball games because she throws my kong for me after.

10. I am NOT a cuddler. Mom tries to force me to be, but I am just not. Maybe one day she will finally get it and leave me alone when I am tired.

Enjoy your vacation!!!!

Very Sincerely,

Chelsie Belle
