This morning Steve and I enjoyed cycling in the Legacy Tour Bike Ride ... it was a fundraiser for the Hess Cancer Foundation . Their mission is to help parents who have had a child die from cancer cover some of the funeral and burial expenses and they do this through "fitness for the fight" by having runs, triathlons, cycling events to raise the money. There were hundreds of people there and it was awesome to think the money was going to such a fabulous cause.
This was our first time cycling on a time ride so needed a pose with my ankle timer and of course, Cricket by my side! (She knew she was about to get left -- so sad)
I love to ride on our bike ... this was a wonderful, flat ride. I am really not sure how I got a quicker speed than my 'captain' Steve!? I am called the 'stoker'.
It was fun we also saw Steve's brother Brad on the ride. He was behind us because he had stopped to help someone - so nice! I had to post our times because I am happy I figured out how to do that from the link ... I am such a beginner on all this!
