Car/Condo Crash

This is a picture of the side of one of our condos in St. George. As Steve likes to say: our condo pulled out in front of a car. Actually, a car rolled into the side of the condo and unfortunately, the wall that was hit was the kitchen so there is lots of repair work going on inside ... The renters moved out and now we plan to repair it and put it up for sale. We spent the weekend hauling some loads to the sanitary landfill (is that the official name - around our house it was called 'the dump' and I remember going there with my dad!) ... at one point, Steve and I were carrying the old dishwasher to the truck and he said -- This is fun ... I just love working together with you. I just started laughing and dropped my side of the old dishwasher (I had been whining earlier that couldn't we do something fun!) We do have so much fun, and he is right so rewarding to work on a project and just be together. (I will be glad when this project is complete, though!) At the St. George landfill you get to wear a vest ... I had one too but we decided it was NOT safe for me to be roaming around outside the car when there were big tractors, etc driving around. Cricket was inside the car with her nose going wild hoping we would soon be leaving this smelly place.

Special thanks to Todd and Tyler who helped us move the heavier furniture. They were so fabulous... I was sad I didn't get their picture. The fun of blogging ... Todd is the brother in law of my friend, Lacey who I met through blogging!

Call a spade a spade - it is totally a dump. I love how HGTV is constanly calling the word "recycle" "repurpose". I hope you get this project done soon. You know how I feel about home ownership these days...
