Introducing Georgina

The week is flying by - so much to share!  I arrived at San Rafael Sunday to begin my two week class at Guide Dogs for the Blind.   I have a wonderful class of seven others who are here for their next guides as well.  As you can imagine we were all very excited for dog day on Monday.

On Monday I was introduced to my next guide: GEORGINA - a sweet, 57 pound yellow lab.   She is amazing!  Our days here are very busy as we become a team.  As we have walked the streets of San Rafael I just can't stop smiling!  It is beautiful and hard to believe we have only been together since Monday!  She is here by my feet chewing happily on a bone.   I am so touched and inspired by all who have come together to create the Becky and Georgina Team!  As we have started the day, I have been singing - Hey there Georgie Girl let's go 'swinging down the street so fancy free.'

Oh my goodness - chills as I read this because I get to see "the other side" ~ even though I am puppy raising for a different organization, the feelings of a match are the same. When I read this, I cheered for you AND Georgina's puppy raiser. How incredibly blessed they are to have YOU matched with "their" puppy. Big Hugs as you continue this journey. I am excited for your next post, and the next, and the next =)
