Celebrating Cricket

Last night was a special evening to celebrate Cricket, the empowering partnership of a guide dog team, hear from others how she has blessed their lives, and just get to be with people we love.  Natalie created this beautiful video that we shared: Celebrating Cricket.  Thank you Natalie for your love and time on this endeavor - so touched.  The clip ends with the harness being hung up and I walk inside.   The next clip would show a silly happy Cricket running around the family room.   Cricket is happy, healthy and content with her next stage as a beloved retired guide dog with us.  Thank you to all who joined us for this special evening either in person and if you couldn't join, your well wishes have meant the world!  I think Cricket has gotten more mail than us this week - for sure more fun mail :)! Thank you to my wonderful family - who were busy helping and not in any pictures! parents who drove from St. George, Steve, Natalie & Adam and Kendall.
Cricket is on the rug waiting for the first guest to greet.  She kept her headband on all evening.  Thank you again, Mimi!

Just a snapshot of some of our evening.

After the party, Cricket enjoyed one of her new toys.
Not only did we have a wonderful evening celebrating Cricket's career, "Cricket and Friends" raised enough money to purchase a harness for a new guide dog team. Very cool!

Oh, Becky! What a wonderful way to celebrate Cricket! I can't believe she wore that headband all night! LOL! And so, you are keeping her as a pet now, right? That's so sweet! And you'll be getting a new guide dog, too....
Much happiness in your household!
