Hanging up the harness for the last time. Love you Cricket girl. Join us in celebrating Cricket's Retirement. Saturday, March 8th 6-8 PM at our home (if you need our address, email me - becky.lpc@gmail.com) We plan to enjoy great food, a very special program, share Cricket stories, and hope to have some puppies in training join us! I love her new collar that says: Cricket Proud Retired Guide from Guide Dogs for the Blind I hope you can join us!! If you can't, would love to have you comment and share how Cricket and Guide Dogs for the Blind has made a difference in your life! "Cricket and friends" will be purchasing the harness for Becky's next guide dog. If you'd like to contribute to Guide Dogs for the Blind - you can here or at her party. |
My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Becky, haven't visited in a long time, but I noticed your heading and just had to comment. How wonderful to have learned so much from such a faithful friend. I'm sure her party will be fun. I wish Cricket and you the very best.
Thanks, Myrna! She connected us too - that is a good thing! Hope you are well!
Wish I could attend. Guide dog teams rule.
William - Thank you! I wish you could attend, also!
Aww, that sounds so fun. Cricket was a stellar role model to me when Cabana was a puppy in training--a wonderful glimpse of what Cabana might become! Now, I hope Cabana can be that for Cricket--a glimpse of a spoiled ultra-happy pet!
Mimi - Love this! Indeed, I hope Cricket can have the life that Cabana is enjoying!
We'll be there with bells on! Wouldn't miss it for the world. Cricker is so amazing! Sad to see her transition, but excited for her new role and eager to meet your new guide!
xoxo
I know I have never met either of you in person, but would love to come if it wouldn't be too weird lol!
Happy retirement Cricket! I have loved reading your adventures over the past few years.
Brittany - I feel like I know you - yes, please come - that would be so much fun! Thanks for your sweet comments!
Becky, you and Cricket have inspired me through your love and tender care of each other, and the determination both of you show to live every day with gratitude, joy and purpose. As a volunteer puppy raiser, I'm grateful to Becky for taking time to share her insights and experiences. I've learned from them and also have appreciated knowing how beloved Cricket and Pantera have been. Becky, you model a wonderful way to live....thank you for sharing your life with all of us and helping us on our own journeys!
Lablove - Oh my word - your words are so kind. Thank you so much! I hope someday our paths can cross. Thank you for your incredible gift of puppy raising.
I would not miss it for the world. If you need help let me know.
Valerie
