My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Running

Sixteen days until our next half-marathon. We ran 11 miles today. Thank you, Alanna, for carrying me at mile nine :)-- really the whole way! Feeling grateful that the body seems to be saying mostly  - go for it!  Cricket is ready to go outside ... really Cricket - it is 19 degrees.
We are off to work where three new nylabones await Cricket :).  Her favorite is the Five-Senses Bone.

I can easily get caught up in planning events - goals for the year.  Good quote on our office board today:

Life is lived in the pauses, not the events.  Hugh Prather.

Hi Becky,
I love that quote :)
Happy New Year to you too, my friend. I hope you are going to be abundantly blessed in the months ahead.
Your fitness is an inspiration.
BIG hugs to Cricket.
