My little rockstar

Cricket and I had the chance to visit a junior high today.  We shared some experiences.  I told Cricket forward.  I thought she would stop at the edge of the stage like a step ... nope, she turned her whole body in front of me and treated it like a dangerous drop off to avoid.   I was pretty impressed.  She doesn't cease to amaze me!  Besides chatting about guide dogs - blindness - finding clothes that you love; I encouraged them to be true to themselves, to celebrate who they are and embrace their strengths and potential strengths.  I told them that in the midst of losing my vision someone shared with me how beautiful my eyes were.  I still recall stopping like - my eyes - they are degenerating - not that pretty :)  It was a lesson to be learned.  Even in loss there is so much beauty.

Cricket is back on her game as an amazing working guide.

Oh, I just love Cricket! Amazing is just one of many words to describe guide dogs, and I believe she is one of the very special ones. Thank you for always sharing your life with us.

That Cricket... she is just simply amazing. Yes Yes, in loss their is beauty. We recently have discovered that. Well really MOM says she has always know that. But sometimes we relearn it over again at times.
