Carpe Diem

Hope you had a nice Labor Day Holiday :). Steve's knee is finally improving -- yay! We hope to be back on the bike in the next few weeks! Today - great 4 mile run with a friend, a visit with Kendall and lunch together at the Pancake House (yummy waffles with peaches). Visit with some dear friends, and then to City Creek. We spent a LONG time at the Apple Store -- just ask Cricket :).
While we were in the Apple Store,  Cricket needed to go outside.  She remembered and knew just where to go! I knew Steve would still be in the Apple Store for a while so we turned right and stopped in at Ann Taylor :). After Ann Taylor, I bent down to Cricket and told her - Find Steve. She knew just what I meant - there is kind of this little lightbulb mannerism.  (I also knew that we needed to go forward and then left inside the Apple Store shortly if Cricket needed further guidance). Nope, she knew just where she was going. She walked into the apple store - stopped and turned her cute little head back and forth - spotted Steve and walked to him and wagged her tail! She knew she had arrived at her destination! Kibble for you, Crickers!

We found a few fun treasures at Banana Republic - including this fabulous sweater -- Carpe diem ... Seize the Day, right!

Cricket loves to hold hands :).

How did you seize the day?

Carpe Diam! We went on a "nature walk" with bags in hand to collect enough nature items of each color that we could make a rainbow out of them when we returned home! We fed the ducks at farmington pond while Kashi swam, then had naps. Followed by swimming and BBQ at my parents house and while Kevin put the boys to bed, Layla and I went to the princess party at Station park! Whew! What a way to end summer as the last day before school starts for Layla!
