Cricket's Guide Work. Shopping.

Today Cricket and I went to City Creek to meet a friend for lunch. Our transportation could only get us there about an hour early so that meant a little shopping :). Cricket and I are oriented fairly well with City Creek now. It feels pretty comfortable. We got lost a couple times today, but getting lost helps you know an area even better, right!

Cricket and I were walking along and Cricket veered to the right. Cricket is taught to guide us around obstacles and then after the obstacle is cleared she returns to her line. This is a very important skill. Does that make sense? I praised her and then asked her to sit and pose after.
It was fairly quiet shopping today so each store I entered there was fun conversation. I wanted to find Steve a little something for Valentine's Day. I walked into Nordstrom not having any idea where the men's department was in this store. They are super helpful and loved that there was no 'over there' 'this way' (which just isn't helpful when you don't see hands motioning or pointing!). I had a family picture on my ipad which worked very well in the sales associate helping me find just the right color for Steve :).

I entered Sephora and was impressed with the helpful sales associate. I hope the wrinkle cream helps even a little bit as much as she says it will! She spoke her directions with details as Cricket and I followed her through the store.

I walked into Limited and said can you help me match up an outfit. It is fun to experience people seeing differently as they begin to describe colors.

Got back to the office and shortly after realized ... no phone! So happy for texting on ipad so Steve could call my phone and could track down that I left it in the cab. Thank you, thank you to the cab driver that brought it back to me! It is such a gift to see the goodness of people each day.

How was your day?

That is quiet the day of shopping. And how nice of the cab driver to bring your phone back.

Goodness in people in the most unexpected places. I went skiing today. I had NO idea that my drivers license & visa card had dropped on the floor. I was going out the door & a young woman stopped me. She handed me my lost items & I couldn't thank her enough!!! It was a great day on the mountain.
