Finding our Resilience

We returned home from a few days in St. George. It is a beautiful time of year to go down. We seemed to spend each day trying to get our list done and then trying to make sure we had time on the bike. We were able to enjoy three nice rides including a long 3-hr ride where Cricket spent time with my parents (thanks, mom and dad!).  In Coral Canyon there are many trails with names. We opted to not go down this trail on the tandem bike. It was very windy, and steep and with a name like Mount Everest Trail - aka Cardiac Arrest, no thank you!
We've been wanting to take this new trail around Dixie Rock.  Amazing.  St. George has wonderful biking, running, walking trails. You can pedal or run or walk for miles and miles in these beautiful surroundings.
We went to the St. George Marathon Expo.  Some fun bargains (found cute pink socks with 26.2 for my running friends!) and sure has me wanting to set that next goal.
We came home and Natalie & Adam were up to another project.  Speaking of Amazing!  A gallery wall - it is so beautiful.

I get to give a presentation this week on:  Finding our Resilience.  Hmmm, hope it comes together soon!  I like the title that was chosen now just need to fill in 20 minutes on the topic. Where do you find your resilience?

So glad you had a nice time. I love the idea of a gallery wall. I'm going to try to talk my husband into designing one.

As for resilience, I know I've been, but where it came from - not sure. I think most children have a natural resilience, and perhaps we lose it as adults, when we tend to focus more on limitations.

Funny you should mention marathons. It was the Chicago Marathon yesterday and the route goes very near our apartment. Couldn't help but think of you!

It looks like Adam and Natalie have been very resilient, moving across state lines and setting up such a beautiful home. Love their gallery wall!

Mimi - Yes, agree.

OH, a gallery wall? I want to know more. I laughed out loud at that trail sign - I'd steer clear as well (literally)! Ha!

Happy seeing beautiful!
