Happy Coat and Walk

I found myself walking along with Cricket - sidewalks all clear (until the next snow storm), sunshine on our backs and feeling so happy.  Then, we heard loud noises and several police cars and ambulance arrived nearby.  Apparently someone had gotten hurt at a store.  I found myself feeling so grateful that Cricket glided through this loud zone so gracefully and also prayed for the person and family going to the hospital.

Dressing up a coat is the challenge  for the day.  February brings optimism that ... eventually our winter coats will become jackets and then hung up for the season.  In the meantime, this coat isn't my favorite but is fun to dress up with different colors.  We are marking the 10-year anniversary since the Olympics came to town so I pulled out my Olympic beret for the ocassion, too.
Cricket and I are soon approaching our five-year anniversary.  Oh how I remember that day of this sweet, happy lab greeting me.  Yesterday she was off harness at the office, heard the door beep and went out to greet.  It was a director of another center, and he loved his greeting.  He had only seen Cricket prior being serious and official during meetings.  She has such a fun, happy side.  Hope your day is filled with some fun, happy aspects :).
