Savoring Sunday

As we were walking out the door to church, we received a call that meetings were cancelled due to a gas leak in our building. We realized if we left right then we could catch Music and the Spoken Word at the beautiful tabernacle at Temple Square.
Beautiful music including Where Love is - which led me thinking of my Grandma P, who died when I was eight.  I remember knowing as a little girl that this was a favorite song of hers and such think of her whenever I hear this song.   I have been wearing lots of scarves, and its special that I still have the scarf she crocheted for me for my seventh birthday!  Wow, almost forty years ago.

The message today was beautiful.   The final paragraph of the message:

When we are disheartened and face an unknown future, think of others; when we feel depleted by life's challenges and overwhelmed with worries, think of others.  It doesn't need to be much, it just needs to come from the heart; a listening ear, a welcoming smile, a warm embrace- or even a can of soda pop!  As we demonstrate genuine, heartfelt interest in others, we-- and they-- will be refreshed.

 Savoring this Sunday.
