Debi, Becky and Cricket at the Luncheon
Does it surprise you that I shed tears hearing other grads share their amazing stories of what a guide dog has meant to them? And then puppies delivered while Katy Perry song in the background. Loved it. Danelle was the keynote. Checkher out.We were able to touch her Olympic medal! Amazing woman and thrilled to think of getting to know her better. There's even talk of tandem biking together with our husbands. Skiing - perhaps. Wow!
I get to be a part of the Holiday Luncheon in San Francisco next month. Will I see any of you there? Stories, memories, SO MUCH gratitude for Guide Dogs for the Blind and all involved have been flooding my brain. This weekend, I hope to get some of those thoughts into my ipad.

I'm so glad you had such a good time!
So fun Becky! I love that you travel so often! You are truly living life to the fullest! It always makes me happy to hear about your adventures. And to see your cute smile. (Love your sweater too!) :)
Thanks! Erin, I love this little sweater too. So much that I also have it in black and olive :).
I was so excited this evening to have met your lovely daughter at BlogWorld LA. As we were leaving at the end she thanked me for being a Guide Dog Puppyraiser and said that her mother has a Guide Dog. Of course, I asked the name of the dog (we know dog names, not necessarily the humans). What a surprise - Cricket she says. I know Cricket - I follow this blog. Small world.
Mary Ann - That is so much fun that you were able to meet Natalie. Indeed a small world -- how very special.
Don't tell me! You've come and gone:) I was still in bed after returning from vacation in Maui! Washingtonians are not invited to the Oregon events. . . .to answer a question you posed a month ago.
So glad you do so much Becky! I feel like I am in a void these days. Empty.
Love. SuzyG
I love that photo of all the dogs.
I can imagine these seminars, conferences etc that you attend are very rewarding for you....of course you would shed a tear.
I love the photo of the 4 yellow labs, too. Amazing how different each one looks, even though they are the same breed.
That's pretty incredible about Danelle skiing without seeing. Amazing! I hope you'll get to ski with her someday!
It was great to spend time with you & Cricket. Fun, fun, fun!!
