My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Butterfly, Tree, & Tias Wisdom

We had the chance to visit Natural Bridges and go to the Butterflies. We spoke in our 'butterfly voices' and enjoyed the beauty of the quietness.  (Apparently, there were butterflies flying above :).
Advice from a Butterfly (Ilan Shamir)
Let your true colors show
Get out of your cocoon
Take yourself lightly
Look for the sweetness in life
Take time to smell the flowers
Catch a breeze!
We stayed in a cabin and reflected on
Advice from a Tree (Ilan Shamir)
Stand Tall and Proud
Sink your roots into the earth
Be content with your natural beauty
Drink plenty of water
Enjoy the view!

Cricket was pretty intrigued with the sea lions.  We enjoyed walks along the beach.

Tias Little was an amazing yoga instructor.  His gentle teaching and instruction was awesome.  There was a class of about 100, yet he connected with each and our individual challenges.   Some of the poses were not so easy to describe and his assistants were ever so helpful.  I met a woman whose son had RP.  We connected.  I hope our paths cross again.

Tomorrow is already Friday!  I'll leave you with a quote from the Yoga Retreat:

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and
try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and
like books that are written in a very foreign tongue.
Rainer Maria Rilke

The photos are terrific, and I love the advice from the tree and the butterfly. What a lot we can learn from the earth!

Mimi - I love how you say that -- much to learn from the earth.
