Yi (eye) ppee

My phone read an email this morning that began Yippee ...pronouncing Yippee with long i ... so, Y(eye)ppee. I have many things that I am feeling Yippee - exuberant delight.

Awesome meeting at the office with many community agencies today. Cricket and I love sharing our beautiful space with others. I wanted to take a picture of how we set up the room, but it was too late. People started coming. Visualize a combination of yummy, inviting breakfast bagels, muffins and such in baskets and fun notebooks and our pens in a circle, conference style. More details to follow, but it was awesome. (I use the word awesome, a lot I know but I think there is much about life that is just awesome.)
Life is hopping around our house with Natalie in town.  Loving it.  We had so much fun enjoying yummy food and conversation with our friend Shannon tonight.  I had several refills of Diet Coke so the night may be young for me :).

So, turns out my wrist is broken.  Cast most likely put on Friday.  Short version of perhaps I injured my head as well as my wrist:  I was in such 'work mode' on Monday when the er follow-up called to indicate the more extensive x-ray showed fracture .. I told them they had the wrong number.  Didn't register that it was me  Let's just say my office is having a great time teasing me about this one.

Cricket and I are going to the  Guide Dogs for the Blind Fall Luncheon in Oregon!  We are so excited!  We will be going to the GDB Holiday Luncheon in San Francisco in December, too.  Yippee!

What has you feeling, yippee?

Oh no! It's broken? And you told them they had the wrong number? LOL
I am so excited for you and Cricket-both trips seem like they would be amazing.
I feel "EIP" today because the sun is shining in Scotland, Glacier is snoozing on my feet and I'm meeting a few girls for drinks tonight. :)
PS: I put up a mini update about my triathlon today.

Oh dear, I guess at least you can be glad both wrists aren't broken. That is pretty funny that you thought the call was a wrong number. So awesome that Natalie is there with you. Hope life is getting a bit less busy for you, although it doesn't sound like it. I think I have one more week of super busy, then I'll be back to just regular busy.

And my iPod Touch read your blog just fine: yippee with a short I. Except for the one you spelled out, of course. I am feeling yippee because tomorrow we go to Ethiopia to meet our little girl and state our intent to adopt. One more BIG step on this long road to someday bringing her home. :)

yikes...you broke your wrist. Was that from you fall when you and hubby were riding??

I am coming up next month on Matt's one year anniversary since his death. I am already dreading that day....I think I'll be a wreck.

I am feeling "yippee" that you'll be coming to see me & we can go to the luncheon together. Desma, Dakota & Culver are feeling "yappee" that their friend Cricket will be staying with them.
Can't wait!!!

So sorry you broke your wrist. What was the injury to your head? And you can still say Yippee. You're amazing!

Hi Becky!

What happened to your wrist? How did you break it? Oh my word, that sounds horrible.

Hope it heals quickly.

Scott and Brennan and I are doing well, and now that Brennan has started kindergarten, I've been toying with the idea of raising another guide dog. I like to take care of things, and my own dog that we adopted two years ago is so old... I raised Cricket in Maggie 1's honor, and then found another dog named Maggie to adopt, so when Maggie 2 passes I'm going to hop back on the guide dog train.

My friends who have raised 15 or 16 guide dogs just got a new guide puppy. I took Brennan to meet it on Labor Day. Oh my word. It was SO cute. Corona, which they're quick to explain also means "crown". Sweet little girl.

Anyway, just saw that you broke your wrist and am wondering how your recovery is coming.
