Update

Friday my left hand was casted. I broke the scaphoid bone which my doctor gently said 'in older people' takes up to 12 weeks to heal. Because of where it is they wrap the thumb  'to try to help you behave' and keep it aligned to heal.  Missing all that a left moveable hand/arm helps with in my life including blogging about my life (I'll find a way!)  and walking freely with my sweet guide dog, Cricket.  In the meantime, she will keep her second job as a good therapy dog at the office, while I use my cane and sighted guide.
Beautiful St. George this weekend including a performance of Grease with my parents, Steve and Kendall.  Natalie and Adam were going to join us, but if you read  -- good things to come meant Natalie needed to be back in San Diego by Saturday for class.
I was hoping to get on the bike, but Steve said no.  What's up?

I don't like my last hair cut - too heavy in the front for me.  I am looking forward to a new cut and color soon.  I had a new black/white sweater to wear for the Grease performance, but it wouldn't fit over my cast.  Oh, the fashion challenges of a broken arm :).

Wow! I don't read blogs for a week or so and I miss a lot! Sorry about your bike accident, and that your wrist is actually broken. That is a huge bummer, especially since it is your Cricket hand :(

I hope you start feeling better, and that it heals a lot more quickly than your doctor estimated.

Oh, I hope you heal quickly; especially as that is your Cricket hand. Also, I broke my foot when I was a teenager, so I feel your fashion woes. :)
Good luck

I hope your wrist heals quickly! At least your cast in black and not neon yellow! :)

hey...if I were there, I'd sign your cast
who would have thought...wardrobe issues involving a cast

I hate it when I get a bad haircut
but....hair grows, and we recover from the bad ones.
I think you look great.

Hey there Becky,
Gee, I'm sorry that your hand has been casted. That fall must have been really bad. I hope that it heals fast and that you are able to 'pat' Cricket again with your left hand :)
Hang in there.
You have a beautiful family. That really is a lovely picture. And...I LIKE the hairstyle!
Sending lotsaluv and feel better soon.

Oh gosh, Becky, it's broken?! That was a long time before you found that out! Hopefully, it will heal fast since you're not really an "older person"!

I didn't like my last haircut, either. My solution is to keep taking scissors to it every morning and chopping little bits off their areas I don't like. But I wouldn't recommend the same solution for you!

Hope you are being good to yourself and that your family is, too. I'm sure they are.

A broken bone sounds so serious. But I know you'll make the best of it and not miss out on much. (I think your hair looks cute.)
