See you in ten

Our day at the office is complete. We call Steve and he says - see you in ten.  I say, thanks love ya.  I've probably mentioned on here before.  I hear that phrase almost daily and I never tire of it and usually hang up feeling so appreciative of him.  Just simply being there for me. This time of year I reflect that 28 years ago was our first date. We were just friends. I was telling him I did not want to go on another date to a haunted house. We went grocery shopping and had fun in something so simple. We continue to have fun in simple things.

Today in our mindful class we talked about ten was a good number to help us be mindful. Count to ten to be aware of your breath. Take ten minutes to reflect, journal, or meditate and be in the moment.  Grab a kiss from a puppy if you can.
An excellent website with special items to give to someone who is hurting.  We just  received our new order of hearts in yellow, green, blue, and red.  They have a hole in the heart representing the grief - the emptiness someone is carrying in their heart.  The gift of being there for someone is the real present.

On lighter notes: I chose a black cast because I wear black often.  Most of this week I've worn brown.  These pants are a petite and are too short, if you know of someone that might like them.  Have I mentioned how I love my ipad :).   Today a seventh grader taught me so much about it.  We pulled up a song that she has found so helpful in her journey and listened to the words and then talked about it. Okay, back to my preparation for a Nurturing your Marriage presentation. I love that nurture = nourish and the conference organizers have prepared homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yummy.   The theme is: Nurture.  Appreciate.  Communicate.  Steve, Cricket and I will have fun.
