My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Guide Runner. Hat.

Anyone in my area (Davis County, Utah)  running a 10 minute mile that doesn't mind pulling me along on September 10th for a special 5K run ?  I'm registered and just need a buddy to run.  Thanks to these people I am now so brave in running!  My friend and running guide, Brenda, is prepping for her marathon next month.  Will be running 20 miles that day -yikes! You can see what my friend and running guide, Shannon  is up to these days!  Steve has an injured foot that is letting him cycle but not run.  They make it seem like an easy job to pull me along.  I even got to run with Natalie one day while she was visiting.  I put the tether through Cricket's paw, but she just is not interested in this running activity.

Last few days of the 21-day challenge .  Today:  wear something on your head.   Wearing a hat in running is generally the only time I wear something on my head.  I understand a hat on my sweaty head is not the most fashionable, but its the best I could do.  I'm pretty excited that I have just missed a day of the challenge so far and that I have enjoyed shopping in my closet and not at Ann Taylor during the challenge!

Today we will see my parents after their six month service to Nauvoo, Illinois.  Yes to hugs from parents!

Rats, if I could run a 5K with 10.5 minute miles, I'd come and run the race with you--but you'd be pulling me along and maybe also pulling me up off the ground. I hope you can find someone!

That's about my speed, and I'd run with you if I wasn't half way across the country! Have a great race!

Darn it. Not that I have ever run a 5K, but I'd give it a try if I lived close by. I'll be running along side you in spirit.

I am sure you are anxious to be with your parents.
Now they can watch you in your runs.
