Labyrinth Visit

This weekend we slipped away to find some labyrinths as well as sunshine and relaxation in St. George. We found it all! We visited two labyrinths:
Desert Sage in Kayenta

After a minute, Cricket was a little confused and so she sat by the edge of the labyrinth and I followed Steve through the trail.
One beautiful aspect of this labyrinth was the benches along the edge that were in memory of people who had died.  Sweet messages were on the benches.
Our second labyrinth was  in Sun River.  If you haven't experienced a labyrinth it really is a peaceful, reflective experience.  The art festival was also happening in St. George with tornado fries and lemonade.

We ran along our trail each morning - what a great way to start a day! We watched the DVD, Rabbit Hole.  It seems to cover much in the grief journey.

Haircut on Tuesday is not soon enough.  Next labyrinth visit will be in May to one that is bordered with lavender - that may make a clearer path for Cricket to understand.

Happy Easter.  It is a beautiful day.

WOW - looks fun! And we are so jealous of your sun and warmth! Never heard of tornado fries before - so glad you had a pic. How neat to learn new things!

So, next time I'm down in St. George I'm going to check with you to see if you're down here too! I would have loved to meet up with you while we were both down here!
The sunshine has been great down here and the Arts Festival was so fun too. I hope we find some decent weather back at home when we head back tomorrow!

Lacey - you were there! Yes! We can meet for a cupcake or something else fun. Enjoy another day of sunshine.

I tried a labyrinth once. I apparently walk too fast for it to be relaxing, so I had to dramatically slow down to do any reflecting or relaxing.

Was it the play "Rabbit Hole"? I thoroughly enjoy that show whenever I see it. It really shows how everyone grieves differently and that we should all respect that.

What a fabulous weekend! I just love the Art Festival. I read Lacey's comment. Count me in for a cupcake! Wouldn't it be fun if the three of us could get together sometime in St. George!? I'd love that. :)
