Resisting Some Change

When Cricket joined our family that already included two dogs: Pantera, my retired guide dog, and Missy, our pug; I began to feed her in our bathroom. Three dogs in the same area eating their food just seemed a little intense! Since Missy died, it seemed practical to transition Cricket into the dog room to eat her dinner. Its hard to teach a middle age dog new tricks ? and she has just started to make the transition. However, this morning I realized I really missed her being in the bathroom area while I was getting ready for the day. Sounds silly, perhaps but I missed her having her morning drink nearby. I try to embrace change in life. We all know change is the only thing that is certain! However, I told Cricket I didn't want to change her routine. So, she's back in the bathroom waiting for dinner time.
Side note: My fun little delight of the day. I love my white ruffle blouse.

You mentioned a dog room. I'd love to know more about it. I have to admit I've never heard of anyone having a dog room before, and you have my curiosity up. :)

Oh, I could put dog/computer/laundry room! I put a link to it now! Thanks, Amanda.

I'm supporting your decision to resist the change. There's comfort in routine.

Cute pic of Cricket waiting for dinner!

You totally nailed the key aspect of making self-portrait pics...a clear view of your face. ;)

All the kidding aside, I didn't know you preferred to feed the dogs separately. Good pic of Cricket tho.

Elisse; Yes, agree. Routine keeps us grounded.
DCHY: Funny - yes, I am NOT a photographer. Point and click and try to aim in the right direction.

Cricket has a set amount she eats 1 1/2 cup twice a day so yes, she has only eaten from her own bowl only. When Missy was sick and lost her appetite, she would leave food in her bowl and it would amaze me that Cricket would leave it there and not touch it. Good girl!

Glad things are back to "normal" for you and Cricket.

I like your blouse.

I have seen Cricket enjoy meal times, when she's here for a visit. I really doubt that she cares WHERE she is fed, but that she is fed, no matter where the location. Ha!

Cute & fun blouse!!
