Celebration

We finished our bike ride last night and I remembered - oh we were about to reach 1000 miles on our speedometer and want to celebrate! (We got this measurement in July so had ridden several hundred before then this year) We ran out to the garage and it is at 995 miles. Whew! We will plan a 5-mile ride (maybe to Sego Lily Cafe) and have a celebration of the miles of laughing, talking, pedaling, enjoying the silence, slowing down to see if the turtle is out, pushing hard uphill, singing whee downhill.
Three-day weekend sounds delightful. The boys may do a hike, more work on the office expansion for our open house next week, painting stairs on our deck, nice long walk with Cricket ... hopefully much time to Celebrate and Enjoy. Hope you have a great weekend.
