A Walk with Cricket

We had the chance to go for a walk with Wynette and her raisers today. It was so much fun! They were so interested in Cricket and her guide work. I had fun bragging about her good work: she stopped at the curb, veered from a bike in the sidewalk, two street crossings, slowed down when a car was turning into a driveway, and found the door, and of course enabled me to walk and talk with them and not be concerned about running into anything. Adorable puppy in training, Wynette, walked the whole way and was such a good girl.
I loved the chance to walk and share with them how Cricket guides me through life. We didn't walk into Dick's Market, but I told them if we did she knew the best route to the bakery!

That's a great picture. Someone looks tired! I love watching guide dog teams in action; it is amazing to see how well dog and partner work together!
