Resilient Missy.

We told Missy she needed to stay 'healthy' until Kendall came home from 8 days at a conference at Wake Forest, North Carolina. He had a great time and Missy was there to greet him. Missy has become very aware of her needs and each morning at 6 am (or earlier) comes in near our bed and barks very loudly until we get up and feed her and give her medication. She's 14 1/2 with an enlarged heart, collapsed trachea, deaf, and visually impaired so we have been putting up with her naughty behavior. Missy's appetite has increased significantly probably due to the prednisone. She has one trick, give me five, that she is doing constantly while we are eating hoping it will earn her more food. She just keeps on going, gets up ready for another day.

Missy is definitely a trooper--and you all have given her such a wonderful and happy life. A little spoiling is definitely good medicine. I guess someone thinks Missy needs to be reading some celebrity blogs...!
