"Our" Pedi/Mani

Natalie and I have a tradition to get a manicure/pedicure almost each time we see each other. (Miss her and hope we will get the chance to do so again, soon). I have had a gift certificate since my birthday (in January) to this little salon in Centerville so with a day off, I decided to go enjoy on my own. Many times we have had various experiences with questions and even some concerns from the salon about Cricket coming in. This salon was SUPER friendly to Cricket (and me). They welcomed us in - described the colors as I selected mine: very bright purple, soft purple, this one you will love, etc. I often wear more purple shades in the Fall so I chose purple on my toes and hands.
Cricket was hilarious. She sat and watched me most of the time, seriously, is this part of the job description she seems to be asking. As several of the employees walked by they spoke with Cricket in a high pitch voice even saying, I love you Cricket. I had never been there before but the lady that did my mani/pedi said she had missed me! (Not sure if someone else with a guide dog had been in or what).
I chose the sugar scrub for my legs that was orange and pineapple scent. Cricket sat real close and even had a little lick upon she realized it was NOT tasty at all.
It was very relaxing and fun to enjoy this birthday gift nine months later.

Funny side note: my pedicurist (?) was trying to be so helpful that as she gathered up my belongings to walk me to the area to dry my nails, she tried to take Cricket. I had to explain to her that I needed Cricket to get to the next place! Oh yes, she's your eyes she said!

WOW. Twice a week, Wendy. that is awesome! Agreen, they are a fun, relaxing thing to do. Ah, sweet that the doggie got her toes painted too. My first guide, Pantera, did for a wedding. Maybe that is why Cricket looks so sad. She is missing out on the full experience of the pedicure.
