Balance

Balance. This has been a busy summer, which I love. However, we all know we need balance. Push AND Yield. One of my clues when I am not balanced is I begin to get serious flashing in my eyes. I have learned this is my clue to slow down. breathe. enjoy. A couple cancellations in my schedule gave me the gift of 3 hours of gardening time with my friend Christy. We laughed. We dug in the dirt. We processed (she's a therapist, too and so everything = a feeling journey.) We giggled as I walked into her with my watering pail and poured water all over her. We layed on the grass and closed our eyes and a sweet yellow lab licked our dirty faces.

I returned back to work energized and felt balanced.

A good reminder to stay balanced, especially as new challenges are put upon us. Even though our plate becomes overflowing, we have to remember that we can't do it all, no matter how hard we try.
Breathe, inhale, exhale..........

That's what I'm talking about - Balance! I was out of balance before and my day off helped me regain it. Thanks!
