My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Pedaling for a Purpose

Steve and I will be joining a group of riders for an important cause on our tandem this week.

Can you imagine it? Today, there’s a family living in a tar paper shack, baking in the summer and freezing in the winter. A home changes everything.

And we can build a home, with every turn of our pedals. This group will be cycling from SLC to Las Vegas beginning July 7 - 12. Steve and I plan to ride 2 1/2 days -- 250 miles with this team.

Our goal is to build ONE HOME for a deserving family through Hearts and Hands Foundation . For around $10,000.00 Hearts & Hands can build a home and we’re creating the $10,000 to make it happen.

If you'd like to support this effort and pledge a penny or a dollar per mile we ride or a lump sum in Helping us Build a Home, here's how you can do it:

If you’d like, fill out the pledge form .

OR, you can make a donation directly to Hearts and Hands credit card.
