My beautiful daughter has created a Beautiful Project. Check it out and share your thoughts. The post today just took me back to the day she was born and the happiness that I felt then and now for this beautiful daughter. It is such a beautiful experience to be a mother.
It's Thursday - wow, this week is flying by. I have had some amazing therapy sessions this week with clients where they have written letters to themselves acknowleding their beauty internally. We have a compassionate voice (our inner beauty voice) and a critic voice (the ugly voice) in our heads. As we recognize when the ugly voice is talking to us we can turn the volume down and turn up the volume on love and compassion for ourselves. This is beautiful.

Such beautiful daughters - grand and my Becky - you are right it is great to be a mother. I wondered what made you two look so great. Mud huh!! Good thoughts about our inner voices and what influence they have on everything we do and think.
Thanks, Mom. Love you and thanks for helping me believe in me and my inner beauty! You're the best.
Your post reminds me of a time when I made some sort of mistake at work, and I said, "Oh, I'm so stupid!" My co-worker heard me and said, "Don't say that about yourself! If you wouldn't say something like that to a friend, then you shouldn't say it about yourself either."
Her comment really stuck with me because I had found it completely acceptable to call myself stupid or dumb or ugly or whatever, even though I wouldn't ever say that to someone else. Our critic voice has a way of being defaulting to the loudest setting so that we can't even hear our own compassionate voice.
Thank you for the reminder to adjust our volumes and look for the beautiful, in ourselves as well as others!
you are both the epitome of beautiful!

I love you mommy
So nice to "meet" Natalie's mom! She is such a neat girl and it looks like she takes after you! I love what you're doing with your blog, and I love reading about your sweet dog. I hope to come back often!
Mimi - great advice from a colleague and so true. Thanks, Shan, Nats and Sarah. Have a beautiful day.
