Cricket is often seen as the hero around here ... my goodness she saves the day by pulling me back from traffic! However, Missy helped save the day from a potential fire in our house. Here is the scenario (if Steve is reading and I'm exaggerating he can actually comment!) Steve put some eggs on the stove to boil. He went into his office, closed the door, and became busy with his work. He was interrupted by Missy barking at his office door. This is unusual as Missy is not much of a barker so he got up and went to the kitchen where he heard the buzzer going and there was no water left in the pan. So a few more minutes there could easily have been more problems than just a kitchen that really smelled strong of eggs even later when i came home. I think Missy is a hero, what do you think?

I can't think of a better word for Missy than hero! What good instincts to alert Steve to the funny smells and sounds. I think Missy deserves a special treat!

Missy = Hero
Yay Missy! She's a hero!
Missy saves the day. She is definitely a hero. Milkbones all around.
Great job Missy!! Dogs are incredible. They help us in so many ways.
That's the one thing that I love about dogs: they're very consistent creatures and if there's any changes in the environment, even ones we don't notice, they tell us immediately! Good girl Missie! I always like to tell myself that it's the humans that need to learn the dog's body language, because it's not always the dog's fault if we don't understand why they're behaving in a certain way at the time.
GO MISSY!!!! Way to save the day!
