Healthy, Happy Girl

Cricket gets her annual wellness check each year near this date (our anniversary as a team) which makes it easy to remember. Going to the vet is such a happy experience for Cricket ... (actually almost everything is a happy experience for Cricket.) She wags her tail while he clips her nails, gives her vaccine shot, swabs her ear and lots of wagging as he listens to her heart. The wellness form is completed: weight: 66.4 lbs (well done Cricket), None marked for health problems, chronic/recurring health issues, surgical procedures, health issues interfering with the guide work. The vet looked at her red scuffy nose very carefully - he said hmmm, possible external lupus (which I knew wasn't the case) as he then studied her nose more carefully indicated the redness was NOT cut off in a straight edge and said this is a case of a girl trying to fluff up her bed with her nose. I prescribe her needing a new fluffy bed! Cricket was so happy! She loves our vet even more now.
Dr. W tells her Happy Trails Cricker Girl -- go work hard and earn your new bed.

When we love our pets, we certainly want to take care of them. We owe them that.
Today, we took our 2 new ponies to the vet. Got their shots and teeth checked Cost lots of $$$, but it's about taking care of the ones we love right.
