All in a Day's Work

Listen for traffic - sounds clear. Cricket, forward. We begin to cross the street on the crosswalk. We walk a few steps when Cricket pulls me back out of the way - a car turning right totally missed seeing us. Good girl Cricket as we proceed across the street. As we reach the other side of the street onto the sidewalk, I bend down and give her a hug and her favorite treat ... a liver flavored treat.  This accomplishment earned a high reward treat! Yummy! She wags her tail and licks my face. and we proceed.
(Picture is of Cricket resting after her day with her container of treats to her side.)

I have so enjoyed reading your blog, I just found you!
We are puppy raisers in Washington State, we are currently raising our second puppy. Our first puppy is Luxor, he is a working guide in St. Paul, Mn. it is so great that he made it to a working quide! Our daughter took him to school with her everyday, for over a year! He even got to go across the stage and graduate with her from High School!

I have heard a couple of stories like this, it makes me so happy to be able to raise these dogs and they do such a meaningful wonderful job!
Thank you for sharing your adventures!
