My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Monday with Missy

The nest may be empty ... but the cave where our dogs love to hang out is full! (Steve had me laughing in this picture.)
I recently received an email from a former client thanking me (love that :D) for helping her celebrate her victories. I think we are often quick to think of our struggles, areas where we feel we fall short, mistakes we've made -- that critic that needs to be turned off in our heads. (I'm not talking about personal responsibility -- rather those self-defeating thoughts that bring us down). I believe we need to celebrate and acknowledge our victories in our life -- turn on the self-compassion. I love how proud Missy is when she does her trick -- give me five. She wags her whole old little body and celebrates her victory. Celebrate You today.

Thank you, Mary! How sweet and in answer to your earlier comment -- no there was not yoga yet when I was in training with Cricket. I have heard about it and happy that has been added to the schedule!
