My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

The human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. CC Scott

Therapist Cricket, Part 3

Continuing on with our tips from Mental Health America.

6.Indulge yourself. Sooth aching bones and wash away worrisome thoughts with a long bath or shower. (Cricket is not a fan of long showers or baths).
7. Stay in. Don't feel obligated to do everything asked of you. It is okay to say no. Opt to spend time with yourself once in a while to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
8. Make the most of leisure time. Enjoy. Embrace life. (Cricket loves her time to play)
9. Get involved. Volunteering is a great way to give back. Knowing that you have helped someone else can help you to feel better about yourself. (Cricket spends her life on this one)
10. Take things one at a time. Be in the moment. (Cricket is a live in the moment girl)
