In Training

After 13 years working with a guide dog, I am still amazed each day by my guide's abilities and the training that it takes from puppy to becoming a guide. This link answers some of the questions that were raised in the earlier giveaway.
Two and a half years ago with Cricket as a retrain I spent two weeks at the Oregon Campus of Guide Dogs for the Blind. I enjoyed this experience and the time went by so fast.

With my first guide, Pantera, I was at the Oregon Campus for 4 weeks. I loved when we worked in the city and each new journey helped me gain confidence for our return home to our life.

Prior to having a guide dog, I had very little experience with dogs except for our little pug, Missy. I have tried to obey all the rules that are in place for an effective guide dog team which includes no food except for their kibble and treat rewards.
