I love Easter for the significance of the day:
At this Easter season of hope and renewal we testify of the glorious reality of the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The empty tomb brought comforting assurance and provided the answer to the question of Job, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). (First Presidency Message - LDS Newsroom) I always think of my grandma who died on Easter when I was 8.
Also, for the many wonderful Easter memories that I associate with the day and the Saturday before ... typically it is spent in Logan on a 'hunt' for Super Bunny with my parents organizing and putting together 'the big hunt'! Natalie describes it well. This year is a little different. Steve and I realized our first Easter without one of our kids since Natalie was born 23 years ago! Today we began our Easter morning going to the the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Broadcast - Music and the Spoken Word on Temple Square. Chills as they sang such beautiful songs celebrating the beauty of Easter and our Saviour.Flowers are everywhere at Temple Square - it is beautiful visually as well as the sounds and smells are equally inspiring.
What a fun surprise to see my niece Camie and her husband! We were grateful for Cricket - without her Camie might not have noticed us in the busy crowd. Easter ... also means a fun little springy outfit - Steve bought me this dress.
