Thanks, Valentine!

Ah, Valentine's Day! Steve and I decided we were going to get married on this day - 25 years ago. I won't bore you with the cheesy story but it has happy memories. (Cricket and I will be taking a walk w/Steve in few weeks to re-enact engagement night!) On the same double date - our good friend, Bart (who now I can add is happily married and has five children)was breaking up with his girlfriend. We were so happy and he was feeling pretty devastated. I am so appreciative and love Steve more than ever. Steve knows that he can enter Ann Taylor and be pretty safe with finding something that I will like. What he didn't realize that Ann Taylor's sizing is smaller (ha, one reason I like her)! So, the Valentine's Day outfit he bought me was too big which gave us the opportunity to return to the store and shop for a new one! They didn't have the same outfit in a smaller size so I tried on some new tops. I found one I loved but ... we decided it wasn't 'age appropriate' - It was super ruffley and although I love ruffles - I think you tone them down with age? We had a good laugh as we were debating the outcome of the shirt. I almost keep giving this shirt away ... then I hang on to it because I love it. It is ruffley and so comfortable but is it too bright and not 'age appropriate'. (Isn't it adorable that Cricket sticks out her paw to shake when you sit down on the floor with her)
I know I can't go wrong with a white tailored shirt from Ann Taylor. This was the one I exchanged for yesterday. I love it - has a little ruffle with it.
I love that Steve and Ann Taylor clerk said to each other ... we'll remember and get the sizing right for Easter!
