My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Wow -- thank you, Cricket!
Its hard to put into words the feelings you experience when you recognize your guide 'saved' you from serious injury or your life. I recall distinctly the time Pantera and I were walking along downtown SLC and all of a sudden she pushed us back from a car that had run a stop sign ... I remember heart pounding and bent down and gave her a big hug! Today, I had that experience with Cricket. We were walking through a parking lot when a car totally began pulling out quickly without looking ... Cricket did that same dramatic pull back that gets you quickly out of the way of the car. I bent down and gave her a big hug, then a kibble as the poor lady in the car was hysterical when she realized she had not looked and it could of been much worse. Her husband saw the whole situation from the sidewalk and was pretty impressed with Cricket (and also relieved that his wife hadn't just hit the blind lady)! Love ya, Cricker girl.
