Remembering my Aunt Donna Lee

My dad's sister, my aunt - Donna Lee died this past week of kidney cancer. Her service was on Saturday. I am sorry that I don't have a better picture of her to post at this time. As I have reflected on her life and the example she set, some key attributes have come to mind. Donna Lee had such a kind, quiet strength about her. Just being in her presence was a blessing and there was a sense of goodness and peace that surrounded her. I have an admiration for her too - as she was an only girl with five brothers .. wow, I thought two was challenging enough. I was only eight when my grandma died and so I always visualized my aunt Donna Lee being much like my grandma. It was wonderful to see so many of my cousins and aunts and uncles Saturday at her service. It was a beautiful tribute to her life full of love, service and example to so many.
