Since going to Sound of Music the other evening - the song
Favorite things has been playing in my head (lucky for those around me - I haven't broken into song)
I love that song -- it really is the simple pleasures in life that bring us so much joy! Some of my favorite simple summer things are: going for walks on a nice summer night with Steve & Cricket, going for a tandem bike ride with Steve, working in my flower beds, ice cream & M & M's, sitting out on the patio and visiting with family and friends, stroking Cricket's soft, soft ears, talking on the phone or chatting online with Natalie. Some of Cricket's favorite things are: going for a walk on a nice summer night, lying by me while I work in the flower bed, going to the dry cleaners where they give her a treat, being out on the patio with family and friends with a bone, relaxing in the nice cool grass, playing kong, and cuddling.
Life is good!
