Last night we biked Memory Grove/City Creek with some dear friends. We climbed the hill talking side by side with the sounds of the very much higher than usual creek on the side. It began raining hard, and we stopped for cover for a few minutes and met another tandem team that was biking from SLC to Yosemite - 650 miles, cool! The ride down was chilly and invigorating and dinner at Cafe Rio topped off an enjoyable evening with friends. This morning Cricket and I watered our flowers. She gets so excited for our little routine. The birds are singing in the background as we take a moment to stop by our friendship garden, that needs some tlc both in the garden and with the friends that shared their plants.
We come inside and dance to the music playing - Black Eyed Peas - I gotta feelin'. Love Cricket's dancing! We are grounded and ready for our day including a webinar with my office with Dr. John Gottman, Emotional Attunement for Couples. Steve and I are debating on whether to go to yoga or a bike ride tonight? It is a good dilemma to have -- Cricket is voting for yoga! What is keeping you grounded today?

Beautiful post, Becky! I'm feeling grounded in the joy of news this week of two of Ruby's siblings being placed as service dogs! Two very different placements, both very special. :)
What a fun night to go bike riding with friends. Makes the rain storm seem like an adventure. I've been grounded by pounding the ground while walking three different dogs today, separately, for an hour each. One was Cabana, and the other two were shelter dogs. Too bad I can't walk them all at the same time!!
Great song to dance around to.
Your day sounds wonderful my dear. You keep your life full of joy, and I think that helps anyone stay grounded.
