A Sweet Day

We have been getting a lot of rain in San Rafael!  This morning was our 'traffic check'.  This basically means that we work our guide with 'set up' traffic challenges ... a car pulling in front of us, backing out, etc, etc!  It is a time where you gain further trust and confidence with your guide.  Our afternoon we had visits with the veterinarian, class pictures (have I mentioned what a great group of people in my class), and then tonight we had our night route -- another opportunity to rely on our guides in a new situation in the evening.

In the middle of the day I received a delivery -- a sweet edible bouquet from Steve!  It was a fun surprise that I enjoyed sharing with my class.  Fruit dipped in chocolate.  Excited to see my family in just a few days for graduation!!

My Georgia Girl is doing well -- love her so much!  It is hard to believe we have just been together for 8 days!  We are feeling like a team.   Tonight I was told Georgina has a sweet smile on her face and that I also have a bright smile.  What a fun connection for us to share.   Lots of reasons for us both to smile :).

Sounds like it is going really good. That is so great. Glad you have a good class. It will be nice to meet them. We will leave in the morning and see you on Saturday am.

I am so happy for you, and excited to watch you grow into an amazing team once you get home. Georgina (and her puppy raiser) is so lucky to have you as her partner!

I love hearing your updates, as a puppy raiser it is always great seeing the "goal" picture. Sounds like you are turning into a great team in the short time you have been together!

It sounds like you two are becoming quite the team! *smiles* I really wish that I could make it up to your graduation (alas, still in Scotland). My puppy group has a puppy (Camino) graduating next weekend as well. Congratulations on your new, little girl!

Hooray!! Congratulations! Interesting to hear the details of the partnering process. You really do have to have a lot of trust in her. The process is a miracle. Thanks for sharing.
