My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Savoring

We went to St. George with friends this past weekend. A wonderful combination for the weekends ... walks with Cricket, bike rides -- they have a mountain tandem bike so Steve enjoyed a mtn bike ride, Steve and I enjoyed a 30-mile ride around St. George. We also enjoyed some great times with my parents. Pretty cool -- our friends love to spend time with them as much as we do!
Cricket smiling on her 7-mile walk/hike.

Good friends - Paul and Phyllis.  Paul tells me this was his first 'selfie' picture.

We left St. George and realized the next time we go down together will be after my graduation and we will have two dogs!  A little over two weeks now until Cricket's office Retirement Party ... March 8th.  Loving celebrating her journeys.  I attended a conference on Friday - Happiness:  How Positive Psychology Changes our Lives (EXCELLENT CONFERENCE!).

On to 2010 as we Savor Cricket's Journey :).

Becky - tossing this out there because you just never know the degree of separation between two people ;) Any chance you or your parents know an amazing man named Vasu in St. George? (Figured the name isn't that common and I'd rather not put his last name here) ;)

Elle - I don't know him. I wonder if my parents do ... will ask them! It is indeed a small world!
