My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Gift of a Guide Dog to my family

Steve and I had a visit with Cricket about her retirement.  She is just so darn adorable.  She sat there listening to our every word :).  She then rolled over and began thumping her tail so loud.  She was so happy. I was reminded in that moment that Cricket has not just brought the gift of freedom, independence to me; she also enriches my families life with her sweet loving, silly personality .... and of course, keeping me safe!

From my beautiful family about what a guide dog means to them:
