My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Treasure Life

San Rafael was amazing. Love Guide Dogs for the Blind and the passion for the mission is incredible. I walked along with the employee at the Oakland Airport that was assisting me to the gate. I asked him if he was about finished with his shift -- it was nearing 6 PM. He told me no he worked until 1 AM. I started to say ... oh I'm sorry when he said --no, no I am so very grateful to have a job and work 4 10-hour shifts so I only have to cross the bridge four times a week! I was inspired by his grateful attitude. Yesterday, I spent much of my day at the office with families of sweet children who had a parent die. Talk about a reminder to treasure life and be grateful for each day. Just went to lunch with Natalie and Steve. I felt grateful for our health and happiness. Treasuring this day and life.
