I am excited to share one of my dreams that is happening. Dreams take lots of hard work, support from others (thank you, thank you) and sometimes a lot of money, right!
Our nonprofit: Oasis Center for Grief has been approved and we are on the journey of expanding on the services that we are able to offer our clients who are grieving! EXCITED!! So much to do - a step at a time.
Our first event is a run on Saturday, November 9th starting and ending at our office in Bountiful, Utah. If you are in the area, we would LOVE you to join us!! Details to join are here. Cricket and I hope you can come!
This will also be an event where people can come together to support one another in grief. The event will start with a balloon launch. Everyone is welcome ... support from others feels so great!
Some of the examples of those who are running: a family to honor their daughter, a group of colleagues to help their colleague be able to attend one of our groups, a group of students to remember a classmate. A group of women who are running ... just to support! Some people will run - others will walk either the 5K distance or a shorter distance.
Our pre-registration deadline is this Friday.
C.S. Lewis says: "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” The Oasis Center is a place where people can come together and know they are not alone.

That is wonderful. When I lost my mom in 1999, I couldn't find any grief support groups on the internet. Then I found a pet loss support group on CompuServe. The moderator had lost her mother also, and she was so helpful to me.
Please give Cricket a little pat from me. I'm so glad she's going to be okay.
