My little red tether is my anchor in running with my friends. A beautiful guide dog has been my tether/anchor in mobility and independence for 17 years: 1. Pantera 2. Cricket, and now my beautiful 3. Georgina (Georgie). A life of family and friends is my joy and anchor in life.

Experiencing Beautiful

If you haven't yet, visit my friend's beautiful site. "Every day we have a choice. We can let others dictate the way we see beautiful in ourselves and the world or we can see the beauty we inherently possess, do something to help someone else, make a person smile, lend a helping hand, change someone's world. We're committed to making this world a better place."  See Beautiful
Lydia, Cricket and me at a wonderful lunch in Atlanta last year

Recently in my office I spoke with someone that was experiencing vision challenges.  She indicated the transition of not being able to compliment someone on how they look, (from her visual change) ie, That is a cute dress,  Love your new haircut, has been difficult.  We then began to discuss how we each can experience beautiful in others that is so much deeper than the eye can see.   Experiencing beautiful brings so much gratitude.   Experiencing the moment where I hand my running tether to my friend is always a moment where I experience beautiful.  Giggling with a colleague is where I experience beautiful.  Having Steve arrive unexpectedly at the office is experiencing beautiful.  I can't tell you in any of these instances what the outside look is ... but indeed beautiful is experienced on a deeper level.

How did you experience beautiful today?

I experienced beautiful in so many ways today, my comment would take up too many screens if I listed them all! I’ll start at the beginning, though: the smell of fresh coffee, and knowing that Mike woke up ahead of me to make it forus.
